Deputy Scott Wilson of the Kitsap County, Wash., sheriff's office said a 66-year-old man who was "bound and determined" to get a stubborn lug nut off the wheel of a Lincoln Continental was hospitalized with severe injuries to both of his legs after he attempted to blast off the lug nut with a 12-gauge shotgun, peppering both legs with buckshot and debris.
